What complications have they seen?
Have they been the subject of any litigation in that procedure? If so, how many times?
Does he/she hold hospital accreditation?
Hospital accreditation is a very important criterion. It is an indication that the doctor in question has satisfied a Hospital Accreditation Committee as to his surgical training and experience. And Breast Augmentation is certainly a surgical procedure!
These are all very important criteria that merit your consideration before you finally choose your Breast Augmentation surgeon. If you are not being given straightforward answers or you are not completely satisfied with all the answers you owe it to yourself to see someone else as well.
The facelift is a surgical procedure designed to improve the signs of ageing. The procedure tightens the muscles beneath the skin and the sagging skin itself, while removing fat and improving the appearance of the face overall.
If you feel your skin is starting to sag around the jowls and the lower face in general, or if you think you look tired when they are not, then a facelift may be an option. If the sagging is on the forehead or eyebrows, then a brow lift may be a better option.
The procedure takes 2-4 hours and the majority of patients stay overnight in the hospital or surgical facility. Patients will experience initial puffiness and some bruising and swelling which may take several weeks to subside. Most patients are able to resume normal activities within two weeks and begin exercise within 3-4 weeks.
There are many different types of facelifts that can be performed. Some examples are:
* The standard or conventional facelift: This is designed to lift sagging skin and its deeper structures. The incision lines are hidden in the hairline.
* S-Lift: The incision is directly in front of the ears and the layers are moved and pulled laterally. This lift is for the lower third of the face. The jaw line, jowls and neck can be smoothed this way. This is a minimal incision lift and suits patients who have minimal sagging of the skin.
* Lower Facelift: This is the same procedure as a facelift but to the lower face and addresses the jowls and refines the jawline.
* Brow Lift: This is usually done endoscopically via a few small incisions in the hairline. Sometimes an anchoring device, which is absorbed by the body, is used to hold/lift the tissue up. This procedure takes the heaviness and ‘hooding’ away over the eyes.

Traditional Eyelid Blepharoplasty Technique
Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a procedure to correct the sagging or drooping of the eyelids through the removal of excess fat, skin and/or muscle.
Indications
Many people in their early to mid-30s begin to see a noticeable difference in their eyes. They can appear droopier, with bags below and above the eye, sometimes so much that the upper lids appear to disappear under the brow bone. There may also be a puffiness to the eyelids caused by the accumulation of excess skin and/or fat. It is originally under or behind the eye and migrates forward with the ageing of the eyelid tissues.
Prior to surgery
Surgeons will ask you to express your concerns about the appearance of your eyes and both you and the surgeon will discuss your goals and expectations. They will determine if there are any eye conditions that might preclude surgery, and ultimately you if eyelid surgery is the best procedure.
Anesthesia
Blepharoplasty is usually performed under a light, general anesthetic. However, in some cases, local anesthesia with intravenous sedation may be used.
Procedure
Before anaesthesia is administered, a detailed “map” of the skin and/or fat to be removed is drawn on the skin using a special marking pen. After anesthesia is given, an incision is made in the curved eyelid crease of the upper eyelid. This placement assures that the scar will be well hidden when it heals. The Surgeon will remove the previously determined amount of excess skin and fat, and the incision is then closed with small stitches. In the lower eyelid, the fat is removed through a small incision immediately below the eyelashes. The operation takes one to two hours.
Postoperative procedure
The first one to two hours after surgery are spent in the recovery room where cold compresses are applied to minimize swelling. When you are fully alert, you will be able to return home in the care of a family member or friend. You will be encouraged to keep your head elevated for several days, and to use cold compresses to reduce bruising and swelling. There is very little if any pain following eyelid surgery. Pain medication is prescribed, although it is not usually necessary. Some patients experience tearing and irritation for the first few days following surgery.
The stitches are removed five to seven days following surgery. You may then resume wearing makeup and using contact lenses. The incisions may remain pink for a short period following surgery but can be easily covered using makeup after the stitches have been removed. They are usually completely faded within four to six weeks. Most patients resume work and normal activities after a week.
Results
The goal and result of cosmetic eyelid surgery is a more youthful and well-rested appearance without a change in the shape or expression of the eyes. For many patients these results are permanent.

Considering Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)??
In terms of your face, your eyes are your most important asset. When your eyes look bright and youthful, so do you. When your eyes look “tired” you do too.
As we get older, our eyes can develop “heaviness” or “hooding” on the upper eyelids as well as “bags” under the lower eyelids. Both are due to variable amounts of excess skin, muscle and fat. Removal of these changes to create a more youthful look to the eyes is known as ‘Blepharoplasty’ and it can dramatically improve the appearance of one’s eyes.
It is important to realise that Blepharoplasty can be done either by scalpel or CO2 laser and that there are significant differences between the two techniques that warrant your consideration before you decide on which one to have. The advantages and benefits of the laser technique stem from the fact that in contrast to a scalpel, a CO2 laser seals the tiny blood vessels in the skin and tissues as it cuts. As a result, there is very little or no bleeding during your surgery. This in turn means:
minimal post-operative bruising and swelling; and therefore
a quicker recovery and return to work and social activities; and
a reportedly safer procedure due to a reduced risk of post-operative bleeding/blindness; and
the ability in the case of lower eyelids to place the laser incision on the inside of the eyelid and thereby avoid any external scar on the skin.
Unfortunately, because of the cost of these lasers only a minority of Blepharoplasty Surgeons have one. If you wish to avail yourself of the above advantages of the laser technique you need to locate an experienced Blepharoplasty Surgeon with an Ultrapulse (or equivalent) CO2 Laser.
Otoplasty or ear surgery is commonly described as ‘ear pinning’ and refers to the repair of abnormalities of the external portion of the ear. This commonly involves setting ears back closer to the head or reducing the size of unusually large ears. This procedure is usually performed on children aged four to 14 since the ears are almost fully grown by the age of four years old.
When ears protrude noticeably, people are often teased by their peers and feel self-conscious. Adults often wear their hair in ways that will hide the ears. Ear surgery can also be performed on adults, without any additional associated risks.
Incisions are placed behind the ears so that there are no visible scars after the operation. If the ears are protruding they may be rotated back and if some of the natural folds are missing they are created. Missing or abnormal sections of the ear may be constructed from tissues taken from other parts of the ear or body.
The operation is performed under a light, general anesthetic and is a day procedure. The patient is required to wear a pressure dressing after surgery for up to 10 days. Some bruising and swelling may occur.
