If so, how many times? Does he/she hold hospital accreditation? Hospital accreditation is a very important criterion. It is an indication that the doctor in question has satisfied a Hospital Accreditation Committee as to his surgical training and experience. And Breast Augmentation is certainly a surgical procedure! These are all very important criteria that merit your consideration before you finally choose your Breast Augmentation surgeon. If you are not being given straightforward answers or you are not completely satisfied with all the answers you owe it to yourself to see someone else as well. The facelift is a surgical procedure designed to improve the signs of ageing. The procedure tightens the muscles beneath the skin and the sagging skin itself, while removing fat and improving the appearance of the face overall. If you feel your skin is starting to sag around the jowls and the lower face in general, or if you think you look tired when they are not, then a facelift may be an option. If the sagging is on the forehead or eyebrows, then a brow lift may be a better option. The procedure takes 2-4 hours and the majority of patients stay overnight in the hospital or surgical facility. Patients will experience initial puffiness and some bruising and swelling which may take several weeks to subside. Most patients are able to resume normal activities within two weeks and begin exercise within 3-4 weeks. There are many different types of facelifts that can be performed. Some examples are: * The standard or conventional facelift: This is designed to lift sagging skin and its deeper structures. Traditional Eyelid Blepharoplasty Technique Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a procedure to correct the sagging or drooping of the eyelids through the removal of excess fat, skin and/or muscle. Indications Many people in their early to mid-30s begin to see a noticeable difference in their eyes. They can appear droopier, with bags below and above the eye, sometimes so much that the upper lids appear to disappear under the brow bone. There may also be a puffiness to the eyelids caused by the accumulation of excess skin and/or fat. It is originally under or behind the eye and migrates forward with the ageing of the eyelid tissues. Procedure Before anaesthesia is administered, a detailed “map” of the skin and/or fat to be removed is drawn on the skin using a special marking pen. After anesthesia is given, an incision is made in the curved eyelid crease of the upper eyelid. This placement assures that the scar will be well hidden when it heals. The Surgeon will remove the previously determined amount of excess skin and fat, and the incision is then closed with small stitches. In the lower eyelid, the fat is removed through a small incision immediately below the eyelashes. The operation takes one to two hours.
